Today, our Team of ICT Professionals in the University had a fruitful interaction with Professor Yakubu Ochefu, Secretary General, Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVC) on the development of ICT in Federal University Lokoja. Professor Ochefu is a former Vice-Chancellor of Kwararafa University, Wukari, Taraba State, a Professor of Economic History and ICT Consultant of international repute.

The meeting, which was in line with the vision of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi of using ICT to drive the University’s operations, was chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor M. S. Audu and was also attended by the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Gbenga Ibileye; Director, Academic Planning, Professor Hadi Suberu; Director, Quality Assurance and Head, Department of Computer Science, Professor Francisca Oladipo (who organized and anchored the event) as well as other Directors and Stakeholders in the University.

We sincerely thank Professor Ochefu for coming to chart a new course that would position FUL as a Datahub of Kogi State and place the University on the world map.

It is hoped that this interaction and other future engagements would revolutionize ICT in FULokoja.
