Committee for the Establishment of FULokoja Staff School Submits Report

The Committee saddled with the responsibility of designing a blueprint for the establishment of the Federal University Lokoja Staff School has submitted its report to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi.

Speaking while presenting the detailed report on Friday, September 10, 2021 in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Felele Campus, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of the Committee, Professor M. S. Audu lauded the giant strides of the Professor Akinwumi - led Administration, and the commitment of the University Management to the realization of its Vision Plan.

The Chairman noted that the Committee had already done about 70 percent of the groundwork for the commencement of the School, and enjoined the Institute of Education to swing into action in order to ensure speedy implementation of the report.

Professor M. S. Audu, who described the establishment of the Staff School as a dream come through, thanked the Vice-Chancellor for the privilege given to him and other members of the Committee to undertake the onerous task.

Responding after receiving the report, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi expressed appreciation to the Chairman and members of the Committee for a thorough work, and handed over the report to the Pioneer Registrar and Secretary, Institute of Education, Habiba Anavoza Adeiza (Mrs) for implementation.

The Vice-Chancellor urged members of the University Community and indeed the general public to take advantage of the Staff School in giving their children/wards world-class education at affordable rate, assuring that quality and standard would not be compromised. He added that the Secondary arm of the School would be kick-started in the same manner in the not-too-distant future.
