An Alumnus of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Ayomide Ayomikun Ajiboye, who graduated with First Class Honours and was also the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Mathematical Science in 2018, has secured a fully-funded scholarship for his Master's degree in Mathematics at Purdue University, Indiana, U.S. - one of the top ten Most Innovative Universities in the United States of America.

It might interest you to know also that Ayomide was an NNPC/SNEPCo Scholar right as an undergraduate, the scholarship he won in his 200 level till the completion of his B.Sc programme in FUL.

Earlier, Ayomide became an RTEF Scholar under Ruth Titilayo Educational Foundation after enrolling for his M.Sc at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, but the programme was brought to a standstill due to the nationwide strike by the University-based Unions.

Notwithstanding the daunting challenges, the young scholar, who has since arrived in the United States in August 2022, was quite determined to pursue his fully-sponsored Master's programme after turning down a few partially funded scholarships in other U.S. Universities.

Ayomide's scholarship at Purdue University would afford him the opportunity to undergo his Master's programme and also teach undergraduate courses at the prestigious University. 

While wishing him the very best of luck in his promising academic career, the University Management under the visionary leadership of Professor Olayemi Akinwumi urges him to keep the University's flag flying and continue to make his alma mater more proud.
