Earlier today, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi; the Registrar, Dr. Rebecca Aimiohu Okojie; and the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Gbenga Ibileye, along with other colleagues and staff of the Federal University Lokoja, were at Destinyway Ministries International (DMI), Lokoja to celebrate with the family of Mr. Daniel Nwankwo, the University's Public Relations Officer during the thanksgiving and dedication ceremony of their new born baby.

It was a double celebration and joyous moment for the family of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Nwankwo who used the occasion to also celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary, having clocked five years in marriage on 25th November, 2022, as they were joined by pastors, family members, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers for the cutting of their anniversary cake.

Recounting the faithfulness of God for the journey so far and the anniversary gift of a bouncing baby boy whose successful delivery witnessed the miraculous intervention of God despite the challenges, the family could not but express gratitude and ascribed all the glory to the Almighty.

While thanking those who supported them during the child's delivery, Mr. Nwankwo specially recognized the personal support and encouragement of the Vice-Chancellor whom he described as a father figure for standing by them throughout the challenging period, saying he was overwhelmed by the massive show of love.

In his sermon tagged "Accessing the Miraculous through Thanksgiving," the Resident Pastor of DMI, Pastor Psalm Onuh, harped on the need for Christians to maintain a daily lifestyle of gratitude to God in whatever circumstances they find themselves, drawing his Scriptural reference from John 11:41-44 while highlighting the immense blessings accrued to those who express genuine appreciation to God continually.

During the thanksgiving session, the praise team mounted the colourfully decorated pulpit, singing melodious and danceable songs with the instrumentalists playing skillfully to produce harmonious tunes as the congregation trooped out in dancing to give thanks and offerings to God in the ambience of worship.
