Dr Chinemerem Magnus Ogaraku has emerged as the new Chairman, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Kogi State Chapter.  In a celebration mood, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Angela Freeman Miri received the Chairman in her office and expressed joy over his emergence as the new leader of the Association saying it was well-deserved.  The NMA Boss who thanked the Vice-Chancellor for her support and encouragement, solicited for more support to enable him succeeds in this important assignment. 

Earlier, Dr Magnus who spoke exclusively to Daily Sun shortly after his election, promised to carry the Association to an enviable height, said his policy will be to focus on the welfare of his members and to carry them along in the scheme of things. He said the Association is determined to put an end to fake doctors and quackery in the health sector that he was ready to sanitize the system. However, he advised members of the public to patronize only qualified doctors and genuine health personnel in the State for their health needs.

He also said his priority will be focused on the building of an ultra-modern administrative secretariat in the State capital where the doctors could meet for social interaction and cross fertilization of ideas.  He said the secretariat which shall be named ‘Doctors House’ will be equipped with modern equipment and sporting facilities and shall serve as a meeting point for medical doctors in the State.

Dr Chinemerem Magnus Ogaraku is a Senior Medical Officer in the University Health Center, Federal University Lokoja since 2012.
