FUL JOINS THE WORLD TO MARK WORLD AIDS DAY
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared 1st December every year as world “AIDS DAY”. The theme of this year’s awareness campaign is “Closing the Gap in HIV Prevention and Treatment”. As part of activities to mark this world wide occasion (AIDS AWARENESS DAY), the Youth Friendly Centre of the Student Affairs Division, Federal University Lokoja organized a public lecture entitled “HIV Virus and Other Sexually Transmitted Diseases” delivered by Dr. Akeem Abdul Yussuff, Chief Medical Officer (on sabbatical leave from ABU, Zaria), University Health Services, Federal University Lokoja on Monday, 1st December, 2014 at the University Auditorium. The programme was chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdulmumini Hassan Rafindadi. It was an informative and educative exercise and was attended by both staff and students of the University.
