The Joint Christian Campus Fellowship (JCCF), Federal University Lokoja chapter, has pledged its unwavering spiritual support for the administration of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, describing him as a leader firmly committed to his faith and reliance on God in steering the affairs of the institution.
The assurance was given during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, where the fellowship reiterated its commitment to upholding moral excellence and promoting academic discipline among students.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Patron of JCCF, Pastor Joshua Odoh, noted that the fellowship has consistently supported the university through prayers and spiritual guidance. He emphasized their resolve to continue to live a life of purity and righteousness while encouraging academic excellence within the student community.
Also speaking, the JCCF President, Mr. Zion Ifeanyi Obey, reaffirmed the fellowship’s readiness to serve with diligence and remain a positive influence on campus.
In his response, the Vice-Chancellor commended the group for its dedication to spiritual growth and moral integrity, urging members to remain steadfast in their calling. “When I look at you, I do not just see a group; I see individuals whom God has called to shine His light among their peers. Let your lives model Christ to those around you,” he said.
Professor Ibileye described the fellowship as not just a religious body, but also platform for shaping destiny and character. He charged members to exemplify Christ-like values in both conduct and leadership, especially in a time when moral decadence remains a growing concern in society.
He expressed appreciation for their prayers and goodwill, acknowledging that leadership is a responsibility entrusted by God. “I will continue to work diligently and make the necessary sacrifices to justify the confidence placed in me. My vision is to see this institution grow in leaps and bounds, positioning it to compete favorably on the global stage,” the VC added.
The Vice-Chancellor further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering quality, purposeful, and transformative leadership for the rapid development of Federal University Lokoja. The delegation comprised of 10 campus and two departmental fellowshimps. See more pictures here
