The Governing Council of Federal University Lokoja has approved the appointment of Engr. Ojo Adedayo Olukayode, MNSE, MNIEE, R. Eng, PMP, as the Substantive Director, Directorate of Works, Maintenance and Services of the University.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, is a testament to Engr. Olukayode's proven competence, dedication, professionalism, and remarkable contributions to the growth and development of the University over the years.

The official letter of appointment was presented to the new Director by the Registrar of the University, Dr. Rebecca Okijie, on behalf of the Governing Council and Management of the institution.

Engr. Olukayode is a seasoned engineer and project management professional with extensive experience in infrastructure development, facilities management, maintenance operations, and strategic project execution. His wealth of expertise, commitment to excellence, and unwavering dedication to duty have earned him respect within and outside the University community.

As Director of Works, Maintenance and Services, he is expected to provide strategic leadership for the planning, development, maintenance, and management of the University's physical infrastructure, while ensuring that facilities and services meet the highest standards required for teaching, learning, research, and community service.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, staff, and students of the University, congratulated Engr. Olukayode on his well-deserved appointment. He expressed confidence in his ability to bring innovation, efficiency, and professionalism to the Directorate in line with the University's vision of becoming a world-class institution.

The University community has also welcomed the appointment with great enthusiasm, describing it as a recognition of merit, hard work, and outstanding service.
