The images below were taken at the Tree Planting exercise held on 1st November, 2017 at the Permanent Site of Federal University Lokoja. The exercise was part of itinerary of activities to mark the 2nd Convocation of the University. Similarly, the event was strategically held at the venue to mark the commencement of the University's movement to its Permanent Site, Felele, along Lokoja - Okene Road.
Some of the dignitaries present at the event include members of the University Governing Council ably led by the Pro-Chancellor/Chairman of Council, Professor Nimi Dimkpa Briggs, Principal Officers of the University, Deans, Heads of Departments, staff, students and other members of the University community.
Those who participated in the tree planting include the Pro-Chancellor/Chairman of Council who planted on behalf of the University Governing Council, Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Dean of Faculty of Science, Dean of School of Post-Graduate Studies and Dean of Student Affairs. Others include the overall Best Graduating Student and the two religious leaders who jointly planted a tree as a sign of religious harmony in the University
In her remark, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Angela F. Miri thanked all members of staff for their absolute cooperation since the preparation for the commencement of the 2nd Convocation of the University.
