Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), has extended his warm felicitations to the Muslim community in the University in commemoration of this year's Eid-el-Maulud celebration. In the spirit of unity and togetherness, Professor Akinwumi urged the Muslim faithfuls to join in offering sustained prayers for the success of all projects undertaken by his administration.
This was contained in a goodwill message released by the University's Public Relations Officer and reads thus:
"My dear Colleagues, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters, on this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, I extend warm congratulations to you all. May the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) bring an abundance of goodness into your lives and families.
"On behalf of the Management of Federal University Lokoja, I, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, the Vice-Chancellor, join in extending our heartfelt congratulations to you for being alive to witness another Eid-el-Maulud. Let us all remain prayerful and committed to the life of peace as exemplified by the Holy Prophet.
"I also humbly request your sustained prayers for the success of my administration and all the University's projects and programmes, particularly the forthcoming 6th and 7th combined Convocation Ceremonies scheduled to hold between October 16 and 21, 2023. Your prayers and usual support are invaluable as we work towards the success of these important events.
"Once again, Happy Eid-el-Maulud, and may the peace and blessings of the celebration be upon you all."
